Andreas gained in more than 18 years’ progressive experience in leading wholesale and modern retail, across all core function such as Category Management, International Procurement, Strategy Development, Local & International Project Management, Start-up organizations, Business Alignment and IT management within METRO AG / METRONOM. In his current role as Commercial Director for the Metro AG’s in-house IT organization, METRONOM, he has been responsible for setting up the teams responsible for processes, procurement, provider management and sourcing hubs. He has been instrumental in driving the IT organizational efficiency as well as setting up the sourcing strategies, partnerships & methodologies in order to drive the scale and skills needed for executing the wholesale digital strategy for METRO at global scale. After 6-years challenging work abroad as Director Business Development at METRO Cash & Carry Russia, Ukraine & Kazakhstan he is now homebased at METRO AG Headquarter in Düsseldorf, Germany.
